Mac OS X 10.4 Volume License Agreement
The University of Minnesota has entered into an arrangement with
Apple Computer to provide Mac OS upgrades via a Volume Discount License to
University of Minnesota departments. Macintosh users at the University of Minnesota, Twin Cities Campus may download a DVD image and use it to install the software on computers owned by the University of Minnesota. The license is not available at this time for individuals. Users at the Morris and Duluth campuses should contact their respective MIS departments to find out about availability on those campuses. Please note that the software may not yet be available on those campuses yet.
For departments to receive Mac OS upgrades, go to
http://download.software.umn.edu/, log in with your Internet ID, and follow the instructions you find
there. We require that you register through those pages because there is a limited number of licenses available. Mac OS X 10.4 is downloadable as a single DVD image which will then need to be burned to a DVD-R or DVD+R disc.
Please register only for the number of licenses you actually need or which
you will need in the near future.
